Sudoku Solver App Review:

This application provides real-time identification and solution of Sudoku puzzles by superimposing the answer on the camera image. Furthermore, it includes error-checking features to identify invalid Sudoku boards. Users also have the option to upload a photo from their Photos album for solving.

Features:

• Supports 9x9 and 4x4 Sudoku boards
• Three puzzle-solving modes:
  • Solve all grids: Completes the entire puzzle
  • Solve a grid: Offers a solution for a random grid
  • Hint a grid: Suggests the best grid to solve next, aiming for the fewest numbers
• Error checking: Validates if the board is solvable with a single solution, highlighting unique numbers in rows/columns/boxes.

Different colored rectangles are utilized to indicate various outcomes during the validation process:

• Green: Indicates a valid and solvable Sudoku board
• Red: Highlights an invalid board with conflicting rows/columns/boxes
• Orange: Signifies an unsolvable board, with unsolvable grids flashing in purple

Additional features of the app include:

• Focused view mode for enlarging scanned Sudoku boards
• Clear view mode that presents numbers on a colored background
• Show possible numbers feature revealing potential fill-ins akin to pencil marks (available in Solve a Grid or Hint a Grid modes)
• HD mode for enhanced camera resolution (recommended for newer devices due to potential lag on older models)
• Snapshot button for pausing scanning to jot down answers
